AN INSPIRING AND OUTSTANDING NURSERY IN CAPITAL PARK

Our Outstanding Fulbourn Day Nursery and Preschool, eco-friendly in design and located within Capital Park, is designed to enrich the learning and development of your child, from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

Set in a green and tranquil environment, our spacious, purpose-built nursery has rooms tailored to suit each age group. We use babies’ natural curiosity and a range of sensory toys to help develop their motor skills, physical development and speech recognition. Toddler rooms are set up to help them learn more about the world around them – interesting shapes, textures and words. Preschoolers enjoy early reading, writing and mathematics in fun and interesting ways, alongside other subjects such as art and science.

To extend your child’s play and learning beyond our bright indoor facilities, Fulbourn nursery we have an extensive garden. Each age group has its own area, with age-appropriate toys to encourage physical development, coordination and teamwork. We even have a beautiful natural meadow that is used in the warmer months as an outdoor classroom.

Our nursery in Fulbourn is on the northern end of Capital Park. We have an ample onsite car park and great access to the bus routes on Fulbourn Old Drift. Our all-inclusive fees, including all meals, snacks, nappies and wipes, give you less to worry about on busy mornings.

Ofsted has recognised our commitment to providing excellent childcare with an Outstanding in their latest inspection. Local parents also recognise the high quality of childcare we provide, giving us a 5/5 star rating on Google Reviews.

Meet the Team

Fulbourn Nursery and Preschool Manager

Tamara Pusic

I have been with the company since 2009 and the nursery manager since 2013. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching.

I enjoy working with staff to create safe, supportive and stimulating environments in which all children can flourish.

Fulbourn Day Nursery and Preschool Deputy Manager

Amanda Reeve-Smith

I have been employed with Bright horizons since February 2016, I hold a level 4 qualification in childcare and education. I started at Fulbourn nursery as a Nursery nurse and within 4 months promoted to a room leader.

In March 2017 I was successful in my application to become the nurseries deputy. Through the company I have continued to keep up to date with paediatric first aid, achieved my designated child protection and fire marshal qualifications.

I have been a member of a brass band since I was 8 years old and enjoy bringing my musical instruments into the nursery for the children to experience. I am looking forward to supporting the team to carry out exceptional care and education, drawing on my many years of experience in the early year's sector.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
