An inspiring and nurturing nursery in Cambridge

Discover our modern, purpose-built Cambridge Science Park Day Nursery and Preschool, designed to inspire your child and support their development, from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

With our five spacious, open-plan rooms your child will have plenty of space to explore, with age-tailored resources and imaginative learning environments. Each room has free-flow access to their own garden and we also have a communal courtyard with a large built-in sand pit where the children are able to feel the sand between their toes and imagine they're exploring the seaside.

We pride ourselves on providing a safe, exciting and enjoyable nursery where children thrive as they learn. We provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and our unique Growing Enhancement programmes. These 'Growing' programmes give your child the inspiration and knowledge to navigate subjects such as mathematics, art, reading and writing. They also encourage vocational subjects such as art, gardening and cooking, helping to lay the foundations for future academic and creative achievements. Our qualified teacher, who runs our preschool room, further supports the children with getting ready for school.

Cambridge Science Park nursery is open from 7.30am-6.00pm. All meals and snacks are included in the fees, and the food is freshly prepared onsite everyday by our own chef. Nappies, wipes and formula are also included, giving you less to pack on a busy morning.

We are located just off Milton Road, close to the junction of the A14 and A10. Cambridge Science Park Day Nursery and Preschool is close to the M11, making it ideally situated for employees and local residents. The Science Park itself is also in close proximity of the new Cambridge North train station.

We have bike storage, a buggy shed, where you can leave your buggy or car seat, and a large onsite car park to make pick-up and drop-off as convenient for you as possible. If you work locally, you are also able to leave your car here throughout the day.

Our dedicated nursery team would love to meet you and your little one, so book a visit today and we will show you everything our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Rebecca Brown

I have worked within the childcare industry since 2009 and have immensely enjoyed every minute of it! I joined our Bright Horizons family in 2012 where I have continued to grow and developed within the company and gained my NVQ Level 3 qualification.  I have enjoyed the experience with all ages but even more so with the younger children due to being a room leader in a baby room for 7 years. My passion is to thrive in exceptional parent and partnership, maintaining a good relationship with all parents and potential clients to ensure parents know they can approach me when necessary. I have a son who makes me proud every single day as he grows and develops with all the new skills he's learning. I am a bubbly, outgoing character who loves animals especially horses as I was bought up around them. This gives me a great excuse to explore the countryside with my family at the weekends. My son keep me busy and enjoys visiting zoo's and farms in our spare time too!

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
