Request a call backI have been working in the childcare, within Bright Horizons for 11 years. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Childcare and I am currently working towards completing my Level 5 in Management and Leadership. I have a true passion for working in childcare and strive for excellence in each and every day within our nursery. I have a young son who I absolutely adore and love spending time with, we love taking trips to the seaside and the park!
I have worked within the childcare industry since 2009 and have immensely enjoyed every minute of it! I joined our Bright Horizons family in 2012 where I have continued to grow and developed within the company and gained my NVQ Level 3 qualification. I have enjoyed the experience with all ages but even more so with the younger children due to being a room leader in a baby room for 7 years. My passion is to thrive in exceptional parent and partnership, maintaining a good relationship with all parents and potential clients to ensure parents know they can approach me when necessary. I have a son who makes me proud every single day as he grows and develops with all the new skills he's learning. I am a bubbly, outgoing character who loves animals especially horses as I was bought up around them. This gives me a great excuse to explore the countryside with my family at the weekends. My son keep me busy and enjoys visiting zoo's and farms in our spare time too!
Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.
Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
