A place to grow

Located in the JW3 building, Bright Horizons JW3 Finchley Road (formerly Active Learning JW3) provides care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

As well as being equipped with specialist studios, such as an IT studio and a science lab, the nursery embraces Jewish traditions, but is open to all.

Our unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Our rooftop garden provides lots of outdoor learning activities and our Kosher chef provides nutritional, well-balanced meals using fresh ingredients.

Meet the Team

St. John's Wood Nursery and Preschool Manager

Sara Fleischer

I have been working in childcare for over twelve years. I started at St John's Wood in 2012 as a Third in Charge and was promoted to Deputy Manager in 2013. I am delighted to now be Nursery Manager for St. John's Wood.
My passion is the children and helping support staff to create a warm and engaging environment for them.
I have a one year old daughter who, after returning to work from maternity leave, has enabled me to view things as a practitioner and a parent.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
