Meet the Team

Name of person

Sherin Faizal

I am very passionate about working with children in the early years, having a wide variety of experience throughout my career in childcare. I have worked from a Nursery Assistant all the way to a Nursery Managers Role. I take pride in everything I do within the nursery and proud to have a wonderful team at Raynes Park. I have a BA Honours in Early Years Education. I am always striving to ensure children learn and develop to their full potential whilst in my care, providing them with opportunities to challenge and stimulate them, using my knowledge and understanding of child development to achieve this.

Name of person

Catarina Gomes

I have been working at Raynes Park since January 2018. I started as the third in charge and became deputy in October.

I am a qualified teacher and have worked with children aged 3 months to 10 years in England, Portugal and Angola.

I am passionate about promoting equality, diversity and different cultures to children of all ages. I am responsible for the setting's health and safety and promote the use of our super safety hero Candy floss throughout the nursery.

Name of person

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
