Asquith Bolton Pre-School & Day Nursery

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Bolton children's day nursery & pre-school is a friendly, welcoming purpose built childcare setting which has been rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. We have a well established and highly trained staff team who will be delighted to meet and show you round.

We've recently undergone a stunning £40k refurbishment inside and out. Inside, we've created an inspiring and homely space for children to investigate, discover and explore. We have digital photo monitors installed in the rooms so that you are able to see photographs of what your child has been up to throughout the day.

Our amazing new adventure garden was opened by the Mayor of Bolton in June 2014. We have completely transformed the outdoor areas which provide a one-of-a-kind learning experience available to children in all weathers each day.

We've also installed CCTV into the rooms at Bolton children's day nursery that gives you peace of mind when settling your children into our nursery or a new room. This also enforces our ethos that the safety and well-being of the children and staff is our number one priority. Our fingerprint security entrance system ensures only authorised people can enter the nursery during our opening hours.

As part of the Asquith family, we pride ourselves in providing a safe, exciting and enjoyable nursery, where children thrive as they learn. We have reinvested heavily in our nursery, creating a wonderful daycare environment that is innovative, stimulating and inspiring for children and staff alike.

Children also have access to a number of extracurricular activities including swimming, tennis and dance (3yrs+), French, baby massage, baking, 'Boogie Mites' music and movement sessions and a monthly 'stay and play' session for parents.

We are located within the catchment of many schools which include St Thomas of Canterbury, Markland Hill, Lostock Primary, Lady Bridge, Bolton School, Clevelands School. We are open 51 weeks of the year from 7.00am to 6.00pm.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Bolton Pre-School & Day Nursery in Bolton. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
