Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt is a spacious, modern purpose-built nursery facility with excellent levels of security. We are located on the grounds of RAF Northolt, conveniently located within walking distance of Ruislip Gardens Underground station, and provide care to children of members of the RAF and the local community.

Each of our well-designed nursery rooms provide a stimulating environment geared to the specific needs of a particular age group or developmental stage, and our friendly, highly-qualified staff team enjoy planning activities that are tailored to meet each of our children’s individual needs.

Babies can enjoy quiet, nurturing times and gentle play with their key person, while younger children enjoy experimenting with creativity and crafts sessions, tactile activities, snuggling in a cosy area with a book or building wonderful, imaginary buildings in our play areas! Older children concentrate on activities that prepare them for the coming move up to ‘Big School’ with lots of opportunities for counting, number and letter recognition and the development of early literacy skills. These activities promote learning across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping to develop children’s skills for later life, and giving them a head start for their future education.

“To all the wonderful girls at RAF Northolt, I was worried about leaving my little boy with strangers but I shouldn't have worried, they are fantastic and he loves going. They have helped change his eating habits and he’s not shy anymore. Thank you once again - you have been recommended to friends.” Parent at Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt

All nursery rooms open out onto our large garden, which has soft play surfaces, grassed areas, an insect garden and lots of fun resources for outdoor play and learning. A partial veranda covering means that Northolt children can treat thegarden as an extended classroom, enjoying all year round outdoor play.

“A massive thank you to all you girls. My two boys absolutely love coming in and what makes me happier is seeing how much they enjoy being with you and their friends- and the many stories I get at the end of day!” Parent at Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt

We are very much a part of the local community – our children enjoy visits from local fire, police and ambulance crews, and we organise coffee mornings at The Hive centre. These events are a great opportunity for prospective nursery families to come and meet staff, children and families that are already with us. We also fundraise for the RAF benevolent fund, and hold special events to celebrate Mothers and Fathers Day’s. At the end of their time with us, we give children a big send off with our Graduation Ceremony.

We are pleased to have achieved a “Good” Rating at our recent Ofsted Inspection – a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our staff team and management!

“Children's behaviour is very good - each one is purposefully engaged in meaningful activities throughout the day. Children know what is expected of them, and help to write the rules for acceptable behaviour. These include treating each other with kindness and treating toys with respect. Having these consistent boundaries in place helps children develop a sense of belonging and security. Babies are nurtured warmly by caring staff - they settle quickly and become relaxed and content.” Ofsted Inspection Report
