Day Nursery & Preschool in Highbury

Bright Horizons Highbury Day Nursery and Preschool

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Bright Horizons' nursery in Highbury is a modern purpose-built day nursery within the redevelopment of the old Highbury Stadium, offering excellent commuter links. The nursery boasts well resourced rooms for babies, toddlers and preschoolers and three great outdoor areas for the children to explore, (nursery garden, communal garden and nature reserve) one of which was part of the old Arsenal football club pitch.

Our team of experienced childcare professionals work closely with parents and the nursery holds regular family events throughout the year. An array of extracurricular activities for our children include Bilingual Beats, Spanish Lessons, Cookery Club and Gardening Club as well as visits from an Arsenal football coach for the over 2 year olds. A unique Ready for School Programme including Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians further prepares children for their transition to school.

Our fees include all meals and snacks, branded nappies, cream, bottles and formula baby milk as appropriate and we make drop off and pick up times as safe as possible with our convenient parent parking at the nursery.

I have a Bachelor degree in early years education and 20 years’ experience in child care.

I am very passionate about providing inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the nursery and to maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment.

I always work with the HEART principles being honest, having respect, accountability and engaging with my team to achieve excellence.

Samia Begum

I joined Kidunlimited in 2010 as a nursery nurse. In 2013 I studied towards achieving a Level 3 in childcare and became a Deputy Manager in 2014.

I enjoy providing the children with a safe and enabling environment and I understand the role I play in making a difference for a child, ensuring I live up to parents’ expectations and standards. I always try my best to deliver the best care with the help from my team and I am always supportive towards my team and I am approachable for parents. I am also able to promote a fun and creative experience for the children and I always understand the role I play in keeping everyone safe

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
