Meet the Team

Bright Horizons Fulham Day Nursery and Preschool Deputy Manager

Grace Chukwu

I am a passionate Early Years professional with over 15 year experience in childcare settings and a keen interest in the development of children under 5. As a mother of 4 children, I started my journey in childcare with volunteering in the playgroups that my children attended, supporting other young parents. I then decided to professionally train for my Level 3 Diploma in 2002 and moved straight into my first room leadership role in 2004 at my placement nursery. I have since worked with different age ranges from Toddlers to Pre-school.

In 2006 I decided to extend my learning to graduate level in Early Years at Kingston University. I joined Fulham Day Nursery in 2014 as the Nursery Room Leader and then supported with the reopening of both Putney and West Norwood branches. I transferred back to my first love of Fulham to support as part of the management. I love the families, environment and staff team here and will enjoy the challenge of growing with them all.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
