Meet the Team

Robert Burton

I have now been working in childcare for over 20 years and started my Journey in Cambridge as a Nursery Nurse. I completed 2 years of childcare training and then took NVQ training a few years later before I moved to London and managed my First nursery setting in South London.

I have explored and worked in a variety of childcare settings over my career, I have also been a nanny for two boys in Cambridge and I’ve also explored being Cabin Crew for two years.

I Joined Active Learning back in 2013 as a Vice Principal and was then promoted to Nursery Principal after one year within our Crouch End Nursery. We were acquired by Bright Horizons in July 2015 and the future opportunities ahead look very promising.

Working and spending time with children and their families is an incredibly rewarding experience to work in and the joy of every day being different and seeing little people grow and develop is an amazing experience.

Nosh Hussain

I am currently working as the Deputy Manager at Active Learning Crouch End where I joined the team in March 2014. I have been with Active Learning since September 2008 where I started as a nursery nurse at our Finchley branch and was promoted to room leader in January 2009.

In 2010, I was promoted to a third in charge role where I helped support the other room leaders along with a couple of our other settings and in 2012 I moved over to our West Hampstead nursery as a Deputy Manager which helped me grow and develop as a leader.

I have enjoyed my journey at Active Learning and look forward to continuing my progression with Bright Horizons.
