I am currently the Manager at Active Learning Crouch End since joining the team in March 2014.
I have been with Active Learning since September 2008 where I started as a nursery nurse at our Finchley branch and was promoted to room leader in January 2009.
In 2010, I was again promoted, this time to a third in charge role where I helped support the other room leaders along with a couple of our other settings and in 2012 I moved over to our West Hampstead nursery as a Deputy Manager, which helped me grow and develop as a leader.
I have enjoyed my journey at Active Learning and look forward to continuing my progression with Bright Horizons.
I began my Bright Horizons journey in January 2016 as Room Leader at Active Learning West Hampstead and was promoted to Third in Charge shortly after. I have had experience working in all rooms across the nursery and helping to support room leaders to excel in their role. I then transferred to Active Learning Crouch End in September 2018 after returning from maternity leave to start a new adventure as Deputy Manager.
I have had experience in many different senior roles such as being Room Leader, Third in Charge and Deputy Manager at other settings. I have also been Lead SENCO in my past nurseries.
I am passionate about childcare and thrive on providing a safe, educational, home away from home environment where children can learn and develop whilst enjoying their time at nursery. I thoroughly enjoy my interactions with children and will often be found with a group participating in an activity, whilst supporting and motivating my staff team in providing exceptional experiences for the children within our care.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
