A caring and warm atmosphere in stunning surrounds at our Sawbridgeworth nursery

Both you and your little one will fall in love with our Asquith Barley Barn Sawbridgeworth Day Nursery. Uniquely set in a beautiful Grade Two listed country house, and rated as 'Good' by Ofsted, we welcome children from 3 months to 5 years old, where our dedicated staff provide high-quality care, education and oodles of fun.

Modern Learning in a Listed Building

Your little one will love exploring our unique building and rooms - which include a converted stable annexe and a brand new modular classroom, filled with age-appropriate toys and learning materials perfect for your child's unique needs and interests.

Your child will be nurtured by our long-standing staff who understand that every child has their own individual needs. Preschool children enjoy having their own dedicated space in the annexe and a qualified preschool teacher, helping to prepare them for their transition from nursery to school.

A 'Bright Beginning' for Every Child

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.

Building on the foundations of the government's EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's development and progress - whether that's moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Glorious Outdoors

When it comes to outdoor play, your child will be spoiled for choice with not one, but two beautiful gardens, allowing them to enjoy outdoor learning and age-appropriate curriculum every day.

Homemade Meals and All-Inclusive Care

Your little one's tummy will be full and happy thanks to the delicious, healthy meals prepared onsite by our own chef.

And to take the pressure off your already busy day, our Sawbridgeworth nursery includes essentials such as meals, snacks, wipes, nappies, nappy cream, sun cream, and formula in our fees.

Meet the Team

Rosie Boorer - Manager

Rosie Boorer

I started my Career in childcare with Bright Horizons back in 2003 as a Nursery Nurse, and have been fortunate enough with the company to become a Nursery Manager. I transferred over to Sawbridgeworth in December 2020, and have loved watching the children Thrive, and also the staff.

Staff development is one of my passions and I strive to get the best out of each and every staff member to ensure the children can experience awe and wonder whilst at the nursery.

Louise Amos - Deputy Manager

Louise Amos

I have worked for Bright Horizons for 8 years and joined the Sawbridgeworth team a year ago after transferring from another Bright Horizons Nursery. I have a 2.5 year old daughter who also attends the nursery and is thriving.

I am passionate about my job and enjoy seeing the children grow and watching their development from babies through to graduating and being ready for school. The majority of my experience has been with Under 2s and I worked my way up from a Room Supervisor to a Deputy Manager. I look forward to seeing where my Sawbridgeworth journey will take me.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
