Asquith Kew Day Nursery & Pre-School

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Our bright, newly refurbished and Ofsted 'Outstanding' rated purpose-built Kew children's day nursery is situated on the site of a primary school and the Richmond Gymnastics Association and is close to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew.

As part of the Asquith family, we pride ourselves on providing safe, exciting and enjoyable nurseries where children thrive as they learn.

We have reinvested heavily in our nurseries, creating a wonderful day care environment that is innovative, stimulating and inspiring for children and staff alike.

We believe in developing a good, strong relationship with all families to make you feel safe and secure in the knowledge that your little one is well cared for.

You’ll find our location perfect for commuters, close to the South Circular and Kew Gardens rail station and district line, with direct trains into central London and a R68 bus to Richmond from outside the nursery. Our opening hours are 7.30am – 6.30pm enabling parents to pick up and drop off their children to suit working hours and travel.

The day nursery in Kew falls within the catchment areas for the Kew Riverside, The Queen's, Marshgate and Holy Trinity CE primary schools.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Kew Day Nursery & Pre-School. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
