Asquith Bush Hill Park Day Nursery and Preschool

Asquith Bush Hill Park Day Nursery & Pre-School

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Our 52-place Bush Hill Park children's day nursery opened in 1990 and is based in a listed building within a conservation area. The nursery, rated 'Good' by Ofsted is situated in a mainly residential area, close to Bush Hill Park train station in Enfield.

Our lovely, welcoming nursery consists of three light and motivating rooms, all with high-quality resources and furniture, handcrafted by Community Playthings to support children in their early development. The state-of-the-art touchscreen computer and interactive whiteboard help to develop essential numeracy, literacy and computer skills. The children are able to enjoy extra curricular activities such as super sport classes.

There is a small secure courtyard area, which has recently been refurbished, for outside play, with a larger playground located just across the road which has recently undergone a £50,000 refurbishment. For our babies, there is a dedicated, enclosed and safe area that will include soft Astro Turf for the little ones to explore, plus a story time den. For our older children, there will be a race track for trikes, two turret play structure, stage area, natural growing area and sand pit.

We hold daily Boogie Mites music and movement sessions, which also support letters and sounds as well as physical development.

Our delicious, healthy and nutritious food is sourced from trusted suppliers. All food is prepared and cooked by our very own cook with menus changing seasonally. Please see the menus tab above for our current menu.

The children's nursery is open 51 weeks a year and is open Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6.30pm. The nursery is within the catchment areas of Raglan and Bush Hill Park Schools.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Bush Hill Park Day Nursery & Pre-School. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Kirsty Thurlow

I have worked for Asquith since 2013 and have achieved a Diploma in Childcare and Education at college. I started at Asquith as a Nursery Nurse, Third in Charge and most recently Acting Assistant Manager. I really enjoy the new challenges of being a part of the Management team and look forward to working with the them to take Bush Hill Park Day Nursery forward.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
