Children and families love Andover Day Nursery and Preschool. Rated 'Good' by Ofsted, we nurture your child's development from 3 months to 5 years, giving them the care, education, and encouragement they need to have the very best start in life.
A Spacious Setting to Learn & Grow
We have five large age-appropriate rooms, each one filled with stimulating toys, educational resources, and play areas specially curated by our Early Years specialists to kindle your little one's curiosity to learn and grow.
We nurture babies' development in a specially designed sensory area where your little one can make new discoveries before having a well-earned nap in our cosy sleep room. We know how important it is for your baby and your peace of mind that they get enough sleep, so we'll work with you to follow your baby's individual sleep routine.
Toddlers and preschoolers also love our messy play area and 'dig' our construction area, which improve creative cognition. They even have access to their own facilities to encourage potty training.
A 'Bright Beginning' for Every Child
Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.
Building on the foundations of the government's EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's development and progress - whether that's moving rooms or preparing them for school.
Playing In & Exploring our Garden
Your little one has direct access to our garden and all its wonders. It's split into age groups to ensure the best experience for them, enabling them to discover sandpits, climbing equipment, planting areas and even a mud kitchen to cook up some tasty mud pies when they're ready!

Children love tucking into our delicious meals and snacks, all prepared freshly by our on-site chef. Essentials such as meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, nappy cream, sun cream, and formula are included in the fees.

Request a call backI started working at Andover after transferring from Bright Horizons Thatcham (formerly The Grange). I worked at Thatcham for 5 years, gaining my qualifications in childcare and working my way up to Third in Charge. I was thrilled to learn that I could continue my journey at Andover and have recently achieved my professional dream of becoming the Manager.
In my spare time, I like to go on nature walks, listen to music and visit the beach. Within childcare I am passionate about outdoor play, den building and developing children's interests.
I have been with Bright Horizons for 8 years and came into the business as part of an independent acquisition at Thatcham, at which we worked our way to 'Outstanding'. I have now been at Andover Day Nursery since June 2020 with my son who also attends. I spend my spare time with my boy, family and friends, and enjoy going to see animals of all varieties.
I achieved my Level 6 in Early Childhood Studies from Portsmouth University and Early Years Initial Teacher Training status in 2016. I started my career at Andover Day Nursery in 2015 as a cover team worker and over the last 6 years, progressed through different roles to room leader and now Third in Charge.
I have a passion for the outdoors and spent my childhood in scouting, learning survival skills and camping at any chance! I also have a massive passion for Makaton. I am the champion here at Andover Day Nursery and hoping to develop and support this throughout our nursery and other Bright Horizons nurseries.
Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.
Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
