Bright Horizons Active Learning West Hampstead offers care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years, close to all local transport links.
The nursery benefits from an airy spacious environment, a separate creative room, role play and library for our Preschoolers as well as a exploratory room for the younger children. The large garden also means all children can explore the natural world around them.
Children in the nursery are well prepared to transition to school with our Ready for School Programme which includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians. We also benefit from our very own specialist teacher focusing on English, Maths, Science and Sports. Our nursery also provides French, ballet and Zumba lessons.
All-inclusive fees include all meals, snacks, branded nappies, wipes and creams. All our food is freshly cooked by our on-site chef and is nutritionally balanced and all the menus have been accredited by the Children Food Trust.
Where possible we look to offer flexible booking patterns and a range of funding options, including the government's 30 hours funded childcare* provision. To request pricing and availability, please request a call back by clicking the button below.

My career in the early years sector has grown over the last 12 years through different roles. This has given me opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding of the areas within an early years setting. I have completed my NVQ level 2, 3 and 4 in early years care and education. My passion for career progression allows me to support my team’s knowledge and self-development.
I have been with Bright Horizons since 2012. As a manager I believe the children are the centre of all we do, and by supporting the team we create enabling environments for all children, giving them opportunity to explore and be involved in a variety of play activities.
I am also a mum to 3 boys, my youngest has always attended the nursery setting. This has allowed me to see nursery life from a parent’s perspective, giving me the understanding that the parents need to feel and know they are leaving their child in a safe and secure environment where they can learn and grow.
My career began at the age of 17, starting in a holiday club in Dartford run by a local day nursery. After a year I decided to join the nursery full time as an apprentice, completing Level 2 and 3 qualifications in childcare, this nursery then joined Bright Horizons. After a while I moved on to work in a mainstream school supporting students with various additional needs and then on to a children and youth worker on the Kent coast, working with a variety of young people and their families. Before returning to Bright Horizons as a room manager at a Kent nursery, before transferring to West Hampstead in 2019 and progressing up to my current role of Deputy Manager.
My passion is to see young people supported, challenged and developed by individuals whose professional knowledge and experience is their driving force. I believe in a child-centred learning approach, with practitioners being there to extend learning, deliver high quality care and support children to experience every opportunity we offer. As a parent myself, I understand fully the importance of the need for great parent partnerships alongside effective communication between ourselves and the families that use our nursery.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
