A place to grow

You and your little one will love the riverside setting of Southfields Day Nursery and Preschool with beautiful garden space for them to explore and grow their own plants.

A 'Bright Beginning' for Every Child

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.

Building on the foundations of the government's EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's development and progress - whether that's moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Commuter Convenience

Ideal for parents needing to commute, our handy location is within walking distance of both Earlsfield overground and Southfields underground (District Line).

All-Inclusive Food & Care

Hot and cold nutritionally balanced meals and snacks are freshly prepared by our onsite chef using menus accredited by Action for Children.

Southfields Day Nursery and Preschool Deputy Manager

Marium Irfan

I have been working in childcare for over 10 years, I gained valuable experience working at a variety of childcare settings from children centres, primary schools, after school clubs and nurseries. I hold a level 3 in childcare and Education.

I joined Bright Horizons in 2015 and I made my way from Bank Staff to Deputy Manager. I started at Wandsworth day nursery, Southfields, Chiswick Park coming back now to Southfields as Deputy.

I have a real passion for care and education as I am a mother of three children. My goal is to make the nursery experience special for every child and family, supporting children in all areas of learning and support them to grow and getting ready for school.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
