I am Nicky and the nursery manager, I hold a NVQ 3 in children’s care learning and development. I have worked in Child care since 2006, working my way from a nursery nurse up to where I am now as a nursery manager. I have helped the setup of Bright Horizons Solihull nursery, staring here towards the end of 2017. No 2 days are the same but watching each child come in to nursery really shows why childcare is such a rewarding job. You always get to see how much children develop during their time at nursery.
I have been at the setting since September 2018, due to relocating to the area. I have been working with children since the day that I left school. Every day is a new day and a new challenge at the nursery. I enjoy watching the children develop as time goes by, knowing I have been a part of their growth. I started the nursery as a room leader and was then promoted to third in charge and then to my current position of deputy manager.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
