A place to grow

Bright Horizons Solihull Day Nursery and Preschool is now officially open!

Our brand new nursery offers seven individual home-bases tailored to each age group, with an external play area where the children can flourish and explore while building a lifelong love of learning. All age rooms have been designed to be flexible and with good access to the garden (5 of the rooms having direct access).

Children in the nursery are well prepared to transition to school with our Ready for School Programme which includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians. All-inclusive fees which include all meals, snacks, branded nappies, wipes and creams.

All our food is freshly cooked by our on-site chef and is nutritionally balanced.

The nursery is conveniently located on a residential road connecting Solihull to Olton. The nearest train link into central Birmingham is Olton, which is 0.4 miles away with a train journey time of 15 minutes.

The nursery is also located close to a good road network and a number of bus routes.

Meet the Team

Nicola solihull manager

Nicola Terry

I am Nicky and I am currently in a nursery manager’s role covering MAT leave at another Bright Horizons nursery. I have an NVQ 3 in children’s care, learning and development.

I began in childcare in 2006 and have been in it since. During this time I have worked myself up from a nursery nurse, head of room, and deputy manager to now an acting manager.
Being in childcare no 2 days are the same as children continuously grow. This is a part that I love to watch and be a part of in nurturing them. Seeing how children start as babies and leave us as confident little people is a pleasure to be a part of.

I don’t currently have children myself so in my spare time I love going on holiday and exploring different parts of the world. I also love spending time with my family as my 5 nieces and nephews keep me very busy.

I am looking forward to starting this next journey and being a part of more families’ lives.

Solihull Deputy Manager

Sam Evans

My name is Sam Evans and I'm the Deputy Manager at this setting. I have recently moved to the Solihull area and I'm looking forward to starting with Bright Horizons. I have moved into the area of Dickens Heath and have started my journey in my first home. I began my journey in childcare at the beginning of 2012 and since then I have progressed from a nursery nurse, to a room leader and duty manager and now this is my new step in my career as the deputy manager. I see myself as very confident and caring individual that dedicates her life to helping others. During my free time I enjoy going on different holidays to explore the world we live in and spending time with my family. I have previously progressed in my career with one nursery and now with my move to Solihull I am excited to join a new nursery, work with new practitioners and meet new parents and children.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
