Welcome to Barford Day Nursery and Preschool, situated in a peaceful, charming residential area. Our Ofsted Outstanding-rated nursery is the perfect setting for little ones aged 3 months to 5 years to learn, flourish, have fun and make friends.

Our calm and cosy baby room is set up to support your baby's individual needs. All resources and furniture are low-level, allowing your little one to explore the room safely at their own pace. We follow our babies' home routines as closely as possible, to ensure they have the security they need to feel at home with us.

We also have a separate sleeping room, so your baby can enjoy peaceful naps during the day.

Toddlers love exploring their nursery room, which has been specially designed to encourage independence and features a lovely reading area, role-play corner, and even an indoor slide.

Your little one can look forward to becoming school ready in our busy preschool room. Run by our qualified preschool teacher, there is always so much to discover and learn.

Children also enjoy Boogie Mites music sessions where they can learn about the world through music and song.

Your little onewill get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists.

Building on the foundations of the government's EYFS curriculum, Bright Beginnings combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's wellbeing, development, and progress – whether that's moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Getting Ready for Their Next Steps

To ensure your little learner is confident to start school, our older children take part in our Ready for School programme, which brings structure and focus to maths, reading, writing, and other essential skills they need to get ready for school.

Our green and leafy garden is separated into age-specific areas, so your child will always have the best resources for their developmental needs. The landscaped garden benefits from exciting resources such as slides, climbing frames, trikes, and much more.
