I have been working in childcare for over 25 years, in various child care settings. I worked within the community as an outreach worker and set up and established a Children's Centre for the Children'sSociety. I joined Leeds Nursery in September 2006 as Nursery Manager.
My inspiration comes from the children and families we serve. Having the privilege to spend time with little people who have a thirst for exploring, experimenting, challenging themselves is my passion. We have a warm and welcoming family feel to the nursery which is nurtured in the relationships we share with our families.
I joined Leeds Day Nursery and Preschool in 2006 as a Nursery Nurse, before becoming a Room Leader and then progressiong to Deputy Manager. I am also the nursery SENCO and Health and Safety Rep.The sense of being part of a child’s development gives me such great self-worth. I realised very early that working in childcare is something I can turn into a fulfilling career.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
