Welcome to Bright Horizons Chelmsford Day Nursery and Preschool where you child will love spending their days in our bright and spacious nursery. With four spacious rooms, each with their own outdoor space, there’s plenty for your child to discover and explore with us.

Our passionate team of dedicated practitioners provide care for all children ages 3 months to 5 years and is ideal for commuting parents. To make the nursery run as easy as possible, we have onsite parking and a buggy park.

You will begin your journey with us by attending settling in sessions, these commence before your child starts and will be tailored to both yours and your child’s needs. We averagely offer 3 settle sessions, which are designed to increase each day as well as include an addition part of the routine each time, such as lunch or sleep time. This encourages a smoother transition into their new space and offers time to build on relationships and trust, helping them to become confident and feel safe.

Our nursery offers an exceptional start to schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's wellbeing, development, and progress, whether that involves transitioning between rooms or preparing for school.

Our baby room has two sides, for our youngest babies we have a beautiful ‘home from home’ approach room. This is specially designed to help with transitions and settling in as we like to think we are mirroring your homes, where of course your babies feel the most safe and secure. As we move over to our older babies, they begin to introduce more of a nursery equipped room where there is plenty of resources to enhance their individual developmental needs.

In our toddler room, your child's curious mind will be encouraged to follow their own interests and independence. Your child will love having freeflow access to our bright and exciting garden, which they can explore at their own pace.

Our preschool room is a large base room spread over two sides where we meet all needs of each child, putting their interests at the heart of each day. The room also welcomes a large outdoor space which we utilise as an extended classroom, this is home to our very own ‘forest’ schooling area and look out tower where we benefit from practising mindfulness and yoga.

Your child will love all there is to discover in our large outdoor gardens. These fun spaces have been designed for each age group and are used to provide opportunities to extend your child’s learning and development. At our nursery in Chelmsford, children aged 3-5 have their own outdoor classroom; and while your child is busy exploring and having fun, we can keep you updated via our Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep you connected with your child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time with us.
