Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED, we are a private day nursery in Chigwell that offers care for children from the age of three months to five years, open 51 weeks of the year from 7.30am-6.30pm. We are located within the catchment of all Buckhurst Hill and Chigwell schools.

Chigwell Day Nursery & Pre-School offers children exciting, stimulating days of fun and discovery in the care of our established team. Our four bright, spacious rooms offer a wide variety of activities, and children are free to follow their own interests.

Our location within the David Lloyd Club offers the extra opportunities of tennis and swimming for the two-five-year-olds. We are also very lucky to be situated next to a large nature reserve and we make the most of it in all seasons for nature discovery, walks and picnics.

We offer an open door policy which enables you to come and visit the nursery whenever suits you best. There will always be a member of the senior team on hand to show you around the nursery and answer any queries.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Chigwell day nursery & pre-school. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Meet the Team

Rosie Boorer

Rosie has been based at Chigwell Day Nursery since 2003 and have progressed in my career with Asquith. I have experienced all the age groups whilst being at Chigwell and really enjoy the differing developing stages within each. I am thrilled to be a part of the management team and driving the setting forward with supporting the staff, parents and children every step of the way!

Chloe Spillane

Chloe started working at Chigwell in 2014 after getting to know the nursery through my previous job, providing music classes for the children! I have progressed through the nursery and I am now enjoying my role as the Assistant Manager working alongside Rosie. Working with children has always been a passion of mine and seeing the little ones grow and flourish is absolutely amazing!

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
