Meet the Team

Jana Chandler

Having a wide variety of experience throughout my career in childcare, I am very passionate about working with children and their families in the early years. Prior to joining Bright Horizons in 2014, I managed other nursery settings in Scotland but also abroad. I have Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and have recently completed a Masters in Education. In my final year I carried out a research study looking at practitioners’ understanding of children’s rights.

I am always striving to recognise children’s uniqueness and support my team in ensuring our everyday practice reflects children’s individual needs and abilities, so we can ensure they learn and develop to their full potential. I support my team in their active engagement in continuous professional development and feel this is reflected in our practice. Using my knowledge and understanding of child development, I endeavour for my team to provide naturally inspiring and exceptional care and education. As well as enabling children in our care to thrive, we support and help develop their everyday skills to prepare them for the world they will be part of as they grow.

Lorraine Fairley

I have worked for Bright Horizons since 2011. I was in a senior role in the baby room at Annandale for 4 years before I was promoted to Lead Practitioner in March 2016.

I have worked in the early years sector since I completed my HNC in Early Education and Childcare at college in 2009. I am passionate and enthusiastic about providing high quality care and education to each family and child that we provide care for in our nursery. I feel privileged to be part of supporting and nurturing each child’s unique qualities and personality, to give them the best start in life and allow them to grow into confident individuals. I am also very committed to continuous professional development, and I recently graduated from Strathclyde University with my BA Management in Childhood Practice.
