A place to grow

A beautiful Edwardian building with stunning, age-appropriate rooms, our children's nursery in Cheshunt provides an exciting, engaging and friendly environment for children from 3 months to five years to develop to their full potential.

Cheshunt is rated one of the top 10 nurseries in the East of England by daynurseries.co.uk in 2015 & 2016. The delicious food we provide as part of our childcare in Cheshunt is fully traceable, flavoursome, high in nutritional value and is freshly prepared by our skilled nursery chef. Our current menu can be viewed by clicking the menu tab above. The nursery which can be viewed as a virtual tour below, is equipped with specially-made Community Playthings furniture and resources as well as state-of-the-art ICT equipment, including an interactive computer monitor, a fantastic touch-screen PC, a Light Box and outdoor technology too.

Our stunning adventure garden, which the children access throughout the day, is divided into different areas designed to support each age group. The climbing frame and wobbly road track are great for physical development and the stage area develops the children's imaginations. There is also a bespoke baby garden with free-flow access for the younger children to investigate and explore at their own pace. Our huge range of early years resources provides children with endless opportunities to learn and discover. This really is a state-of-the-art pre-school and nursery, providing children with outstanding opportunities.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Cheshunt Pre-School & Day Nursery. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Jessica Brand

I started working at Cheshunt in March 2014 as a Nursery Nurse and have since progressed through the nursery. As the Nursery Manager I will use the knowledge I gained while completing my BA (Hons) Degree in Early Years Education and my Early Years Teacher Status to support the staff team to provide enabling environments for our children. I am passionate about giving children the best start in life and I can have a big impact on this through my role as Nursery Manager.

Grace Hanley

With 10 years’ experience in childcare, my passion for delivering exceptional quality within Early Years has been the driving force within my career. After receiving my CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education,  I carried on my studies to graduate in 2013 with a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies.

My passion for travel then led to me exploring Australia, New Zealand and  South east Asia , where I was able to teach English to a primary school within a small community in Thailand. Upon returning last October I started my management career within Bright Horizons, as Deputy Manager at The Park in Watford.

I am very excited to continue my career in management at an Outstanding nursery such as Cheshunt.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
