At Millhouses Day Nursery and Preschool your little one will enjoy days filled with learning and discovery in a warm and enriching environment.

Learning Through Play and Discovery

Our purpose-built nursery offers beautiful, spacious rooms for your child to explore while they reach their developmental milestones with sensory play, exciting activities and inspiring resources. This includes our animal area, loose parts play, construction zone and art station.

Babies and younger children are cared for in a stimulating and sensory-rich environment, allowing them to make new discoveries in a nurturing setting.

Our qualified preschool teacher will help get your child ready for school with our Ready For School programme, giving them the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

A Bright Beginning for Every Child

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the very best start through our enriching and wellbeing focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.

Building on the foundations of the government’s EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child’s development and progress – whether that’s moving rooms or preparing them for school.

You can stay updated with your child’s day through our Bright Horizons Family app.

Adventures in the Garden

Your little one will love exploring our beautiful nursery garden and outdoor space, which is accessible for all age groups. The garden offers children free choice as they have fun with our age-appropriate toys and resources, as well as exciting adult-led activities including Active Athletes, that teaches children team games and encourages exercise and movement.

All-Inclusive Care and Convenience

  • ● Nutritionally balanced meals are prepared by our onsite chef. Our all-inclusive care extends to nappies, snacks, wipes, formula, and creams so there’s less to pack on those busy mornings.
  • ● Onsite car park ensures pick-ups and drop-offs are easy and stress-free.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
