Welcome to Wavendon Day Nursery and Preschool. Set in a beautifully converted bungalow surrounded by wonderful gardens, our qualified and enthusiastic staff are dedicated to the care and early education of all children aged 3 months to 5 years.
We have four individual rooms which are fully equipped with age-appropriate resources specific to helping your child learn and develop at each age and stage. The rooms are well-equipped with community playthings furniture and toys and the learning environments are brought to life by our creative role-play areas.
Toddlers love the large wooden castle and slide in their room, which helps promote physical development while having a lot of fun. And in our preschool rooms, we use our amazing interactive whiteboard to teach lessons and key skills to help prepare your child for school.
Children also enjoy Boogie Mites music sessions where they can learn about the world through music and song.
Your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists.
Building on the foundations of the government’s EYFS curriculum, Bright Beginnings combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child’s wellbeing, development, and progress – whether that’s moving rooms or preparing them for school.
You can stay updated with your child’s day through our Bright Horizons Family app.
To ensure your little learner is confident to start school, our older children take part in our Ready for School programme, which brings structure and focus to maths, reading, writing, and other essential skills they need to get ready for school.
Your little one will love spending time in our wonderful garden, which is divided into age-specific areas and offers freeflow access from the rooms.
The garden is surrounded by trees and greenery and features a racetrack, bikes and trikes, a climbing frame, a mud kitchen, a construction zone, a vegetable garden for planting our own veggies, and so much more.
