Our bright, inspiring nursery in Poole provides Outstanding care and education to children from 3 months to 5 years.

We follow the Montessori philosophy, culture and ethos within our nursery and members of our team hold formal Montessori certification. We also practice Growing Enhancements – a programme unique to Bright Horizons focusing on reading, writing and mathematics, as well as creative skills, to support your child in their transition from nursery to school.

Poole Montessori nursery fees include a nutritious breakfast, snacks and high tea in the afternoon. Branded nappies and formula milk are also included for babies.

Our Poole Montessori day nursery is conveniently located halfway between Poole and Bournemouth, in a green residential area. We have a garden for all ages so children can play and explore outdoors. Walks to the community park are a regular event too, improving your child’s confidence in their local area.

Our commitment to providing quality care has been recognised by Ofsted, who have rated us Outstanding in all areas.

We would love to meet you and your child, so book a visit today and we will show you all our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Meet the Team

Winchester Day Nursery and Preschool Manager

Lynn Wordsworth

I am proud to be managing Poole Montessori an outstanding setting in the lovely area of Poole in Dorset. I have been working in childcare for several years having moved on from careers in Office of Standards in Education and Investment banking. Being the Nursery Manager at Poole Montessori is the most rewarding role, just seeing the children progress in their learning as well as having such a great working relationship with the team makes every second of the day worthwhile.

I have a vast range of skills and knowledge through doing various jobs and holding several roles in my life, one including being a Special Constable in the Metropolitan Police Service. I moved to Dorset over a year ago from London, however, have adapted well and look forward to progressing within my career whilst working with Bright Horizons.

Carly Bradford

I have been working at Poole Montessori for 8 years. I started as an apprentice and have worked my way up to Room Leaser and Third in Charge. I am based in the Baby and Toddler Room and enjoy providing a home from home experience and helping the children grow and develop through learning experiences and messy play such as sand, water and paint.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
