An Outstanding Nursery to Learn and Thrive BETWEEN POOLE AND BOURNEMOUTH

Welcome to our Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Montessori nursery in Poole, where our long-standing team deliver exceptional care and education to children from 3 months to 5 years.

Smooth and Easy Transition to Nursery Life

We follow your child’s individual routine from home, ensuring they always feel safe, secure, and excited to go about their day. This also makes the transition from home to nursery smoother - giving you the peace of mind you need.

Following the Montessori philosophy, sessions are carefully planned for the children attending on that day, so you can be assured that your little one will always receive the very best care, attention, and activities for them to thrive.

Enhancing Early Education

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will flourish and reach their full potential with our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum. Within the curriculum are our Growing Enhancements, to help children of all ages develop key skills. With younger children, we focus on reading, writing, and maths, and other enhancements are added as they grow. These include science, art, sports, cooking, and gardening.

Children also enjoy Boogie Mites with its exciting opportunities to learn through music and song.

Follow their progress via the Bright Horizons Family app and learn what keeps them engaged throughout the day.

Fresh Meals and Outdoor Time

A healthy, varied diet is essential for growing little ones. Your child will enjoy a wide range of delicious meals and snacks, all freshly prepared by our onsite chef.

If your little one loves the great outdoors, then they’ll adore having freeflow access to our specially designed all-weather gardens. To ensure your child has the very best experience, they’ll have access to the best age-appropriate resources, to enhance their playtime and development.

All the Essentials Covered

To give you less to pack on a busy morning, we include all the daily essentials such as breakfast, snacks, high tea, nappies, wipes, nappy cream and sun cream.

Inspiring and Convenient Location

Meet the Team

I have worked in childcare for over 10 years now, gaining my level 6 qualification in 2014. I started at Talbot Woods in 2018 as an Early Years Teacher and in my time, I have been a keyworker in every age group here. I became manager in 2021 and am thrilled to work with a wonderful long standing team. I am also a creative person, holding a degree in interior design. I love being inspired by new ideas for the children and nursery, and will always take others ideas into consideration

I have been working at Poole Montessori for 8 years. I started as an apprentice and have worked my way up to Room Leaser and Third in Charge. I am based in the Baby and Toddler Room and enjoy providing a home from home experience and helping the children grow and develop through learning experiences and messy play such as sand, water and paint.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
