AN OUTSTANDING MONTESSORI NURSERY BETWEEN POOLE AND BOURNEMOUTH

Our bright, inspiring nursery in Poole provides Outstanding care and education to children from 3 months to 5 years.

We follow the Montessori philosophy, culture and ethos within our nursery and members of our team hold formal Montessori certification. We also practice Growing Enhancements – a programme unique to Bright Horizons focusing on reading, writing and mathematics, as well as creative skills, to support your child in their transition from nursery to school. Our extra-curricular activities include Boogie Mites and myHappymind, encouraging a healthy lifestyle from a young age.

Poole Montessori nursery fees include a nutritious breakfast, snacks and high tea in the afternoon. Branded nappies and formula milk are also included for babies.

Our Poole Montessori day nursery is conveniently located halfway between Poole and Bournemouth, in a green residential area. We have a garden for all ages so children can play and explore outdoors. Walks to the community park are a regular event too, improving your child’s confidence in their local area.

Our commitment to providing quality care has been recognised by Ofsted, who have rated us Outstanding in all areas.

We would love to meet you and your child, so book a visit today and we will show you all our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Meet the Team

Poole Montessori Day Nursery Manager

Kerrie Podesta

I have been at the nursery since 2000 and I thoroughly enjoy my time at our busy nursery watching the children grow and develop into independent little people ready for school. I have a true passion for Montessori and completed my Montessori certificate in 2015. Together we strive daily to provide an outstanding home form home environment for all our staff, children and families which was recognised by OFSTED in both 2012 and February 2018. Our staff team are one of our biggest assets with long standing staff who pride themselves on understanding your children’s individual needs.

My hobbies include spending time on the water in Poole Harbour and beyond, walking and importantly spending time with my family and friends.

I have been in Childcare for over 7 years and hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood studies and Children and Young People’s services. I have a vast range of skills and knowledge through doing various jobs and holding several roles in my life, one including being a Special Constable in the Metropolitan Police Service. I moved to Dorset over a year ago from London, however, have adapted well and look forward to progressing within my career whilst working with Bright Horizons.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons
