Canterbury Day Nursery and Preschool

Welcome to Bright Horizons Canterbury Day Nursery and Preschool, where our wonderful team provides the best care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Close to Canterbury West train station, we offer an onsite car park.

We offer bespoke free settling in sessions for our children, the minimum booking pattern is two days per week. The nursery is open 51 weeks throughout the year from 7:30am to 18:30pm.

For our under two children, we offer a fully inclusive package which includes Nappies, Baby Wipes and Formula Milk. Our warm and welcoming under two unit features its very own sensory room, where babies and young toddlers enjoy sensory and heuristic play sessions that teach them about different sights, sounds and textures in the world around them.

Children aged 2 to 3 years old love spending their days in our bright and colourful nursery room. Here, they take part in a range of exciting activities to inspire young minds and work towards developmental goals.

In our nursery room, your little explorer will be encouraged to develop their independence and work towards skills they'll need when they start preschool.

Our Preschool room is divided into two light and airy rooms, where children engage in a variety of activities to enhance their learning journey and prepare them for their next step. Preschoolers enjoy Forest School sessions in the garden, helping them learn about the natural world and develop new skills through nature.

To ensure your little learner is confident to start school, our older children take part in our Ready for School programme, which brings structure and focus to maths, reading, writing, and other essential skills they need to get ready for school.

In addition, we offer Boogie mites an interactive music and movement session, which is loved by children of all ages and provides exciting opportunities to learn about the world through music and song; and while your child is busy exploring and having fun, we can keep you updated via our Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep you connected with your child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time with us.

We love to get outside and enjoy natural spaces, so learning is often in our large and stimulating garden, with freeflow access, is divided into age-specific sections, from each of the classrooms. The main garden comes complete with a cycle track, two low-level treehouses.
