Welcome to Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool. With our long-standing team dedicated to the care and education of children aged 3 months to 5 years.

An onsite car park and buggy park ensures easy pick-ups and drop-offs. Our nursery in Bury St Edmunds is set in a quiet residential area and is close to Bury St Edmunds train station, making us a convenient location for commuting parents. 

Your child’s journey with us will start off with our settling in sessions, our aim is that these sessions give you the opportunity to spend time with your child’s new key person, ensuring that they have all the information they need to for a gentle transition. Each settling in session will increase in time over a number of weeks before your agreed start date. 

Each room features an array of fun and educational resources and environments which include block play areas, art and craft, quiet areas for looking at books and story time, water and sand play and role play areas to inspire and explore, with our baby room allowing your baby to reach their milestones and be prepared for their next steps. 

Babies and toddlers enjoy a split environment which caters for 2 age groups, the younger babies have a calm rooms with a home from home feel with quiet areas for sleep and plenty of floor place to explore and play, the toddlers are able to access many areas around their room with lots of opportunities for messy play as well as their own outdoor space. 

Your preschooler will feel ready to take their next step in their open-plan room with our Ready for School programme, which is dedicated to supporting their learning and readiness to start school. 

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's wellbeing, development, and progress - whether that's moving rooms or preparing them for school. 

In addition, we offer Boogie mites an interactive music and movement session, which is loved by children of all ages and provides exciting opportunities to learn about the world through music and song. 

Your child will love exploring our large garden, with freeflow access that allows them to discover the outdoors at any time. Your child can have fun learning about how food grows in our allotment area, as well as playing with age-appropriate resources such as climbing frames, a mud kitchen, and balancing tyres. There is also a safe, dedicated baby area with a cushioned surface and opportunities for them to develop their physical skills and extend their communication and language with the varying sights and sounds of the outdoors.  

While your child is busy exploring and having fun, we can keep you updated via our Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep you connected with your child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time with us.
