A Bright and Spacious Nursery in Bury St Edmunds
Welcome to Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool, where our long-standing, experienced team provides exceptional early years education and childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Located in a quiet residential area near Bury St Edmunds train station, with an onsite car park and buggy park, we offer a convenient and stress-free experience for commuting families.
Nurture Approach – Supporting Every Stage of Development
Our specialist-designed Nurture Approach, rooted in the EYFS curriculum, blends wellbeing-focused activities with exciting learning opportunities in maths, literacy, science, art, and more. This personalised programme helps children build confidence, curiosity, and independence.
Our Ready for School programme supports preschoolers with structured learning that builds essential skills for a smooth transition to primary school. Led by Early Years specialists, this programme is part of our holistic Bright Beginnings Curriculum, which nurtures each child’s development and wellbeing.
Inspiring Learning Environments
Each age group enjoys tailored spaces filled with educational resources including block play, sensory activities, art and craft, story time, and role play. Our baby room supports milestone development in a calm, home-like setting, while toddlers benefit from messy play and their own outdoor area.
Our preschool room is open-plan and designed to foster independence, creativity, and school readiness. Children also enjoy Boogie Mites—a fun music and movement programme that enhances learning through rhythm and song.
Outdoor Exploration & Eco Learning
Children have free-flow access to our large garden, featuring an allotment area, climbing frames, mud kitchen, and balancing tyres. Babies have a safe, cushioned outdoor space to explore sights and sounds while developing physical and communication skills.
As part of our eco-friendly ethos, children learn about sustainability through gardening and nature-based activities.

Baby and toddler care items are all included, together with all food and snacks (and milk for babies under 1 year-old). We offer milk alternatives and dairy- free milk to children with allergies.

Our calculator enables you to estimate your basic fees BEFORE childcare funding is applied. We’ve taken this approach as funding is dependent on your own very individual situation, how old your child is, where you live, whether you’re working, or you get discounts from your workplace.
