Welcome to Bruntsfield Early Learning and Childcare, where our qualified and friendly staff provide the best education and care for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Recently Renovated to Support Your Child
Based in a lovely converted residential house, our nursery in Bruntsfield underwent a total refurbishment in 2019. Children love to play and learn in our bright and inspiring rooms, with a wide variety of toys and activities that are specifically chosen for each child's age and development.
Inspiring Rooms for Every Age
From cosy, calming areas and low-level activities in the baby room, to exciting role play and reading areas in the preschool room, there is plenty to keep your child active and learning, all while having heaps of fun.
Along with planned activities to encourage your little learner to explore their curiosities, we also have free play sessions throughout the day, so your child can spend time with their friends while making their own discoveries in the classrooms and garden.
You can stay updated with your child's day through our Bright Horizons Family app.
New Specialty Rooms
During our renovations, we created additional speciality rooms to give your child an even more enriched nursery experience.
This includes our cosy and soothing sleeping room, where your little one can enjoy quiet, restful naps, and our large sensory playroom, which provides a range of activities for all ages to explore.
Fresh Air in the Great Outdoors
Your child will benefit from lots of fun in the fresh air. We have a courtyard garden with lots of exciting resources and activities, and we also enjoy trips to the local park.

I have been working in the childcare sector for 10 years since gaining my teaching qualification and I have worked in a manager's role for the past 2 years since completing a Master's degree in educational psychology. I also recently completed a forest school leader qualification.
I'm extremely enthusiastic and passionate about the care and development of children, and I believe that a good quality nursery and compassionate staff give children a positive start to their early education, which helps build confidence for a child to make new relationships.
I have worked in the childcare field for the past 29 years, the last 20 in nursery management. I'm a fully qualified nursery practitioner and I'm currently working towards my SVQ level 4 Social Services and young people management qualification.

I have been working at Bright Horizons Bruntsfield for the past year and a half as the baby toddler room leader and have recently become the nurseries third In charge. I enjoy working together with my team to support our children and families by creating an inclusive and nurturing environment.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
