Hamilton Day Nursery

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Hamilton Day Nursery and Preschool is situated in the building of first direct and HSBC Bank and is exclusive to employees. Our rooms are large and open plan, split into specific age appropriate areas, and each room has access to our outdoor space that spans the whole perimeter of the nursery. The staff promote Bright Horizons Growing Programmes within the learning environment, which also consists of a literacy space that promotes writing and the children’s library to encourage a love of reading. Our staff team are friendly, highly qualified and encourage individual learning and development.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
