Request a call backI’ve been in UK since 2009 and started my childcare career in 2011. During this time, I have worked my way up from Nursery Nurse to Manager. I am a highly motivated person with an infectious passion in the field of Early Years management. Everything I set out to achieve is based upon increasing the children in my care’s happiness and development. I put my heart and soul into everything I do.
I have been working in Early Years for over eight years and I joined Bright Horizons in 2017.
I ensure the children have fun and that they are provided with the best care and opportunities to learn through play in a safe environment every day.
I am passionate about inclusive practice and I strive for every child to be given the most appropriate and personalised support possible. Watching the children thrive in their most important stage of development has been very rewarding and I really enjoy what I do.
Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.
Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
