Meet the Team

Alexandra Keys

I came to London in 2011 to complete my BA in Teaching (Early Childhood Education) through a study abroad programme. After completing my degree, I returned to America where I worked for Bright Horizons for a short time. I returned to London in 2012 to complete a Masters degree in International Child Studies.

I worked for My Nursery as a nursery nurse, then worked my way up to Manager. My Nursery was acquired by Bright Horizons in December 2015. I have two children, Poppy and Sophie. I am passionate about early years and ensuring children are provided with every opportunity to develop and learn through play.

Nicola Arnold

I have worked in the childcare sector for 24 years, working with a small group that joined the Bright Horizons family for the past 13 years. I attended the University of Gloucester and achieved my Early Years Foundation degree in 2011. I am currently based at East India Dock Preschool as Deputy Manager. I enjoy working with children and seeing their abilities and confidence grow each day. I help and encourage children's learning by talking and listening to them and getting to know the individual child, role modelling and also letting the child take the lead.

I help to nurture our children and do my best to keep them safe and happy in a calm, home form home environment.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
