Asquith Kingswood Day Nursery

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Rated 'Outstanidng' by Ofsted, Kingswood children's day nursery in Hull is located at the David Lloyd club. We opened our doors in 1999 and operate from six vibrant rooms. There is an enclosed outside area for all the children to access, with a special baby and toddler garden where they can play and explore.

All the rooms are cosy, bright, warm and welcoming with highly qualified staff in all six rooms. We provide stimulating activities which offer a wide range of learning opportunities.

Children’s wellbeing is of the utmost priority to us at our Hull children's nursery and we strive to develop all the children into confident little learners.

Working in partnership with parents is very important to us so we make sure we provide daily feedback, hold parents evenings and have five open days across the year to ensure they feel part of our nursery family. We offer discounts for children of NHS staff*.

All children at our Hull children's nursery have a key person. This enables children and their families to form a strong bond and build up that trust which is needed from the beginning.

The nursery has its own chef who works on site, providing fresh, healthy and nutritional meals based on a three-week menu cycle. The menu changes throughout the year to coincide with the seasons and caters for all.

Our children's nursery in Hull is located within the catchment of many schools which include Kingswood, Sutton Park, Wawne, Dunswell and Bransholme Primary.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Kingswood day nursery. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
