Our Milford children's day nursery near Stafford has a warm, homely environment. We're based in a lovely converted Victorian school, brightly refurbished and surrounded by fields, farms and animals in Walton on the Hill on the outskirts of Stafford. You'll find us on one of the main roads into Stafford with a local bus route outside.
All age groups have their own rooms and outdoor play areas to enable maximum development with peers. We work alongside parents and carers to ensure you feel comfortable leaving your child with us. We involve parents in their children’s planning and daily routines, by holding play and stay sessions once a month.
The nursery environment is rich in resources for all age ranges, the room sizes increase as the age ranges increase which ensures children are then ready for large classes at school. All rooms have Community Playthings furniture and toys which provide the children with a more neutral environment to learn in.
Our stunning new adventure garden is available to children in all weathers to support their educational and physical development. We are located within the catchment of many schools which include Berkswich Primary School, Oakridge Primary School and Leosowes Primary School.
Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you. *Please note free funded places for 3-4-year-olds are limited and subject to availability. Please contact the nursery manager for more information.
Where possible we look to offer flexible booking patterns and a range of funding options, including the government's 30 hours funded childcare* provision. To request pricing and availability, please request a call back by clicking the button below.

I have worked at Milford Day Nursery since 2004 when I started as a Nursery Nurse; I worked my way up to Nursery Manager in 2012. I hold a certificate in Early Years practice and love every minute I am at work supporting and caring for all of our families. I have my own son who I love spending time with and watching him grow.
My name is Abigail but most people know me as Abiy.
I started working for the company in 2003 as a Nursery Nurse and I went on to have my daughter and returned to Nursery part time for a short while.
I then worked my way into a room leader position before successfully gaining a full time position as Deputy Manager and achieving a degree in Early Years Childhood studies.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
