"New staff (both management & carers) have had a positive impact" Parent , Teddies Southfields

Southfields nursery has rooms aimed at different ages, within which each child has a stimulating environment for growth and development. Babies can follow their familiar home routines in our self-contained baby unit, and the nursery offers personalised ‘settling in’ visits that help children to get used to nursery life.

"We are extremely happy with our choice of nursery. By and large the team at Teddies Southfields are exemplary and should be rewarded accordingly. I am always comfortable and confident that my children are safe and in good hands as soon as I leave them in the morning." Parent, Teddies Southfields

Our toddler room has a huge range of activities, toys and resources on offer for play and learning! These include story time (with puppets!) Music and Movement sessions, Cookery Club and Gardening Club. Southfields children love playing on our indoor slide and getting creative with sand and water play. This busy room is structured so there are quiet areas in addition to our larger play area for more active times of the day.

"I've been a parent at the Nursery for just over a year and it seems to be going from strength to strength. My daughter loves the nursery and the new manager Kerry is very helpful and welcoming to me and my family. I have and will continue to recommend the nursery to friends." Parent, Teddies Southfields

Teddies Southfields pre-school children are given a gentle introduction into academic subjects like reading, writing and maths to develop their abilities and boost their self-confidence in preparation for school. Children also benefit from extra-curricular Computer Lessons from “Click IT” - and all of our children enjoy looking after our popular nursery pets- we have a hamster, an African land snail and fish!

“I am more than satisfied. The nursery has exceeded my expectations as a parent. The weekly news letters are a lovely touch too!”-Parent at Teddies Southfields

There is a regular schedule of events at Southfields for all the family to enjoy; we hold parents barbecues, Sports Days, Graduation ceremonies and many other celebrations throughout the year. We also have a children’s committee where children join our Nursery Manager every two months to give their feedback, discussing the nursery and sharing any ideas they have on topics like new toys, garden design, the menu and many more. Our children recently helped to design a growing area in the garden, for planting seeds and growing their own fruit and vegetables.

“Thank you for all the effort and time you put into organising all the activities for the babies and all the small details that you notice and the individual approach you take with each baby”-Parent at Teddies Southfields

Teddies Southfields Nursery has a highly-qualified and motivated staff team and all nursery staff members receive ongoing training and keep up to date with the latest childcare developments.

“Children are happy, settled and secure. They separate well from their parents and carers and eagerly explore the resources and activities. They feel valued and welcome at the setting because staff are very caring and demonstrate that they genuinely enjoy the children's company. For example, they readily join in with children's play and discussions, and pay attention to getting to know each child. This promotes a caring, positive environment where children are able to play confidently and contentedly” Ofsted report for Teddies Southfields
