A place to grow

Teddies Twickenham Day Nursery and Preschool believe that children's safety and wellbeing is of paramount importance to us.

The nursery is located in the heart of Twickenham close to the M3, M4 and Twickenham train station. The opening hours are 8.00am till 6.00pm Monday to Friday and we run a flexible service for our customers with additional hours before 8.00am.

We have experienced and qualified staff at the nursery who take pride in looking after and caring for the children as if they were their own. The staff are always keen to help and support families at the nursery. Parking is residents or permits holders only, however there is free parking outside the nursery until 08:30 so parents can park to drop off their children at the nursery. Our Little Explorers Room, takes children from 3 months to 2 years. The room is based upstairs where we have a separate sleep area for the younger babies and a small milk kitchen which is based out of the room, for staff to safely prepare and store milk. The room is fully equipped with fun and exciting resources for children to develop Our Little Stars Room takes children from 2-5 years. The Preschool room consists of 2 bright and airy rooms that are then divided into the various sections that cover the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Haseena Dupratt

I completed my NVQ Level 3 in childcare learning and development and an advanced level in leadership and management.

I have worked in childcare for over ten years and have the experience of managing settings for over three years. My goal at Bright Horizons is to work in partnership with parents/carers to enable children to have the best start in life by offering them the best care, support and experiences in their early education. I will strive to provide a safe and secure environment where children can thrive.

I feel proud when I see children grow, develop and learn life skills at nursery, ready to start school.

I have worked at Teddies Twickenham for over 13 years. I started as an unqualified nursery assistant and went on to gain my NVQ 3 whilst working. I have been the Deputy Manager for over 10 years. I really enjoy my role as my time is split between managing and spending time with the children, which is my real passion.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
