Bright Horizons Annandale Early Learning and Childcare is delighted to announce a new partnership with Edinburgh Community Food, bringing exciting opportunities for children and families to explore healthy eating through hands-on learning experiences.
As part of the nursery's growing focus on community partnerships, nutrition specialist Morven from Edinburgh Community Food will work closely with children, families and colleagues over the coming months, delivering workshops on topics including weaning and fussy eating, alongside fun cooking experiences for toddlers and preschool children.
The partnership will provide families with practical support and expert advice, while helping children develop confidence, curiosity and positive relationships with food through engaging, hands-on activities.
Morven holds a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and an MSc in Gastronomy and has extensive experience supporting children and families to develop positive relationships with food. She has delivered a range of community-focused initiatives, including Mix Mash Munch and Healthy Little Foodies, helping families build confidence around healthy eating.
Kate, Nursery Manager at Bright Horizons Annandale Early Learning and Childcare, said:
"We are passionate about creating strong connections within our local community and providing enriching experiences for our children and families. We were delighted when Morven got in touch and are excited to work together to promote healthy eating in a fun, practical and engaging way.
"Already, the children have loved taking part in cooking activities and, after just two weeks, they are asking when Morven will be back with another recipe for them to try."
The nursery looks forward to sharing details of upcoming workshops and celebrating the impact of the partnership with families and the wider community.
