Request a call backI have twenty six years’ experience within nursery settings, including a management portfolio of twenty years. I graduated in 2000 with a BA in Early Years and hold a formal level 3 Early Years certificate. I will be the designated Safeguarding Officer for Lee Park Day Nursery and I hold both First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid certificates.
My vision is to continuously provide quality childcare and an excellent service for all children and their families and I will work hard to ensure that we are providing the very highest standards of childcare possible.
Having managed several high profile nurseries and helped build their practice to a high standard, my goal has always been to ensure parents are not only satisfied with the practice, but reassured that each individual child's safety, development and care is at the forefront of our aims.
I am honoured to have joined the Lee Park team and to be part of all of the wonderful families here. I believe that forming strong relationships with all families is key to delivering quality childcare.
My great passion is to inspire my staff team to ensure that all children within the setting are provided with exceptional childcare and take the greatest care to provide the right level of support and encouragement ensuring all children grow in confidence, build on important social skills and learn at their own pace in an enabling and creative environment. The key to a successful nursery is the engagement of the whole team, so celebrating success and recognising the staff’s hard work is a highly regarded part of my role and I am looking forward to getting to know all the staff team and sharing the great work they do each and every day.
I joined the Bright Horizons in 2014 and transferred over to Lee Park nursery back in 2018 as an Assistant Manager.
I work alongside Leanne to deliver the highest quality care and education for children and families. I also regularly spend time within the nursery units both observing and mentoring staff in addition to spending valuable time with the children. I’m committed to providing a safe and fun environment for your child to learn and achieve their full potential. I believe that building strong partnerships with parents and families is vital in ensuring development and learning is extended at home.
Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.
Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
