An enriching and outstanding nursery in the heart of Eastleigh

Situated in a double fronted Victorian building, Eastleigh Day Nursery and Preschool provides high quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The nursery has excellent educational resources and experienced, nurturing staff to ensure the children thrive. Enriching baby and toddler rooms are located on the ground floor, with their own courtyard garden. Older children enjoy a beautiful rooftop garden, complete with a mud kitchen to enhance creativity.

With all-inclusive fees, which means less to pack on a busy morning, the onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to the chosen branded nappies and wipes are all included in the fees.

There is an easy parking area for drop-off and pick up, as well as buggy shed and is conveniently situated within five minutes of Eastleigh station and bus station.

The nursery has been awarded an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ for their commitment to high quality childcare and education.

Megan Windridge

I joined Bright Horizons in 2011 as a Nursery Nurse after completing two years training to achieve my Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Child Care and Education. I then went on the complete a Level 2 Leadership and Management course and was promoted to Senior Nursery Nurse. After gaining more experience with leading a team I was then promoted to Transition Room Manager. With this change in role it lead me obtain my Advanced Practice Level 5 Diploma in Children and Young People, and with that a promotion to Deputy Manager. I am now thrilled to be Nursery Manager leading and inspiring a team to deliver outstanding practice. I am passionate in caring for children and helping them reach their full potential across all areas.

Laura Wheeler

I joined the Bright Horizons team 15 years ago, Starting as a student completing my college placement at the Portswood Nursery. 

In 2019, I moved to Warsash Nursery as Third in Charge after having my little boy. He attends this setting which means I have both parental and professional perspective within the nursery. 

Since getting my qualification in 2008, I have progressed from the position of Nursery Nurse to Deputy Manager. I have one year remaining until I complete my degree in Primary School Teaching and Learning. I this has enabled me to have a clearer understanding of the ways in which children learn.

I have a passion for ensuring the children in our care achieve their full potential. I help them to learn and develop by creating fun, safe and stimulating experiences and environments.

I joined the company in February 2012 as a NVQ after completing my level 3 diploma I became a nursery nurse. At this point I had experienced babies and Transition children.

I then got a promotion as a senior, also doing my level 2 in leadership and management. After time and gaining lots of experience I got promoted to a room leader in the Toddler room.

Last year I was successful in getting a promotion to Third in charge, learning a lot on the way. I am grateful for my journey and love reaching the children’s goals in their learning and development.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
