Dear Families,
As we head towards summer, I wanted to take a moment to share an update and to thank you, as always, for the trust you place in us.
It has been a positive few months across our nurseries, with children making the most of the longer days, outdoor play and all the opportunities this time of year brings for exploration, learning and fun. From spending time in our nurseries and talking with colleagues, I know just how much care, thought and energy goes into each day.
We are also taking further steps to support the natural environment across our nurseries with the launch of a new Biodiversity Action Plan as part of our Future Earth programme (insert link), This will guide how we protect and enhance nature, creating a more sustainable future for the children, families and communities we serve.
I’m really pleased that so many families continue to engage with our wider family support and resources. Our recent webinar, “Big Feelings, Big Emotions” (insert link), clearly struck a chord with parents, and we are looking at how we can build on that by sharing follow-up content and continuing to evolve the series. June will also see many of our nurseries hosting open days, giving families a chance to visit, meet our teams and find out more about the care and learning experiences we offer.
We continue to invest in the people who care for and educate your children every day. I was delighted that Bright Horizons was recently named Best Employer (Large) at the 2026 Apprenticeship Guide Awards, recognising our commitment to high-quality training and development. Through our apprenticeship programmes, colleagues build the skills, knowledge and confidence to become qualified practitioners, supported by experienced teams every step of the way. That investment in our people is so important, because it helps us continue to provide the high-quality care and education that children and families deserve.

We’re celebrating and recognising the fantastic job all our colleagues do during our You’re the Difference Appreciation Week, at the end of the month. This is a time to celebrate colleagues and recognise those who embody our HEART Principles of Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, Respect & Teamwork. We invite you to help showcase the positive impact our colleagues make every day by sharing your praise on our HEART Heroes Wall in the nurseries, with nursery managers or via the Famly app.
As we look ahead, we remain focused on providing safe, nurturing and inspiring environments where children can grow and flourish. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share feedback through our recent parent survey. We will be reviewing the results with our teams, and of course you can always speak to your nursery team at any time of year – we are always keen to hear your feedback.
Thank you again for your continued support. I hope you and your families have a lovely summer.
Warm regards,
Phil
