Christmas Dinner Alternatives
Date: 14 Nov 2017
Turkey has been the traditional meat to be served on Christmas Day for many years – even Henry VIII enjoyed a turkey dinner in the 16th century! 87% of people in the UK will have turkey for Christmas, meaning around 10 million turkeys are eaten in the UK every year!
However, if you fancy a change this Christmas, here are a few suggestions of other food you can cook over the festive period.
Gammon or Duck
For those who are vegetarian (or just don’t fancy meat this Christmas!) here are a couple of options for you to enjoy alongside all the scrummy Christmas veg! A tasty Parsnip Tartin with Winter Pesto, Goats Cheese and Cranberry Parcels, or a Vegan Christmas Wreath.
Add some spice to your Salmon and make this a turkey alternative to remember! See the recipe here!
Beef Wellington makes an awesome centre piece of food for your guests! Click here to get the recipe.
