National Safety Week

Date: 07 Jun 2017

Child safety is our number one priority at Bright Horizons; which has been recognised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) with whom we have been awarded a gold medal for the 6th consecutive year! Candy Floss was also invited to Buckingham Palace by RoSPA to celebrate their centenary year.

See some stories below from our nurseries and how they teach children to keep everyone safe!

Bright Horizons Mongewell Park recently had a visit from one of the parents – who is a policeman!

Candy Floss helped the policeman put cones around the car park and the children loved it when the blue lights flashed on the car! The children were also able to get into the car and wear jackets and hats – what a great day for the children to learn about people who keep us safe!

As it is National Child Safety Week, Bright Horizons Crewe have been learning about staying safe in nursery and at home. Our safety super hero Candy Floss was on hand to guide the children, and the nursery staff made some play and learning at home gift bags for the parents to take home.

The Preschool children at our Treehouse Nursery in Aberdeen took Candy Floss to see Marcus the paramedic and his brand new ambulance. Marcus showed the children how the lift at the back of the ambulance works, and also told the children about if they ever have to travel in an ambulance that they don’t have to be scared and that their parents can come in it with them.
