Happy St. David's Day

Date: 01 Mar 2017

The 1st March celebrates the patron saint of Wales, who died on this day back in 601! St David’s Day is a public holiday in Wales with lots of celebrations happening across the country.

In November 2016 we proudly welcomed Asquith Day Nurseries and Preschools to our family, and so are delighted to speak to our nursery in Cardiff to find out their plans for the day.

Clare, Cardiff Day Nursery and Preschool Manager has a fun filled day planned for our children!

Everyone will be dressed up in traditional Welsh costume or rugby shirts and there will be an area of craft activities to make and paint daffodils.

The toddlers will have a red and green interest area and will be singing Welsh songs throughout the day, and the preschool children will be making Welsh leek and potato soup and Welsh cakes!

We hope that everyone in Wales and in particular at our Cardiff nursery have a wonderful day celebrating St David’s Day!
