Bright Horizons celebrates first Learning Hub graduates in Cambridge

Bright Horizons is celebrating a major milestone as the first cohort of learners from its Learning Hub have successfully completed their fast-tracked Level 3 Early Years Educator (EYE) Diploma.

The graduates were recognised at a special ceremony held at the Science Park facility, marking the culmination of months of dedicated study, practical learning and hands-on experience.

The Learning Hub, which opened in 2025, was created to support the development of early years professionals across the region, offering high-quality, accessible training and clear career pathways. The purpose-built space features two large training rooms, digital learning facilities and breakout areas designed to encourage collaborative learning.

This first graduating cohort represents an important step in strengthening the pipeline of qualified early years practitioners locally, helping to ensure more children benefit from consistent, high-quality care and education.

Janine Leightley, Chief Operating Officer at Bright Horizons, said:

“We are incredibly proud of our first Learning Hub graduates. Their commitment and passion for early years education has been clear throughout their journey, and this achievement reflects the dedication they bring to their roles every day.

“This programme is not just about gaining a qualification, it is about building confidence, developing skills and creating clear pathways for long-term careers in early years. Seeing our first cohort complete the programme is a fantastic moment for everyone involved.”

The fast-tracked Level 3 Early Years Educator Diploma enables colleagues to gain a nationally recognised qualification while continuing to work in Bright Horizons nurseries, combining practical experience with structured learning. Over the nine-month course, learners completed nine core modules, alongside three optional units and workplace observations

By investing in initiatives such as the Learning Hub, Bright Horizons is continuing to strengthen its commitment to developing its people and supporting long-term careers in early years education.

The graduation event also highlighted the organisation’s focus on creating opportunities for colleagues to grow and progress, while ensuring families continue to receive high standards of care and education.
