Bright Horizons has been named Best Employer (Large) at the 2026 Apprenticeship Guide Awards, recognising its commitment to high-quality apprenticeship pathways and workforce development
Learners at Bright Horizons develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to become qualified practitioners, building hands-on experience alongside expert nursery teams. They work towards a recognised qualification while earning a competitive salary and benefits, supported every step of the way. Alongside experienced colleagues, they learn what it takes to deliver high-quality care, with children at the heart of that experience.
The Apprenticeship Guide Awards celebrate excellence in apprenticeships across the UK, recognising employers, training providers and apprentices who help people develop and progress in their careers. The Awards are in their third year, with the 2026 black-tie ceremony held at New Dock Hall in Leeds, adjacent to the Royal Armouries Museum.
Janine Leightley, Chief Operating Officer at Bright Horizons, said:
“It’s fantastic to receive this recognition. For people choosing an apprenticeship as a pathway into employment, we offer structured support to learn, develop and progress. We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive, with inclusivity at the heart of our approach to education and training.”
Bright Horizons currently supports nearly 700 apprentices across the UK, with a commitment to development that extends well beyond programme completion. Apprentices benefit from a structured and ongoing pathway of opportunities, including ILM-assured coaching programmes, our Future Leaders programme, targeted talent development pathways, and personalised career coaching to support progression at every stage of their careers.
