Bright Horizons Trafford Day Nursery and Pre-School has brought families and team members together to support people in need across Trafford and Greater Manchester, following a successful donation drive for Trafford North Food Bank.
In November, the nursery began collecting essential items as part of its commitment to giving back to the local community and supporting people who are less fortunate. The response from parents and the nursery team was overwhelmingly generous, with a significant number of donations received.
Earlier this week, Nursery Manager Laura was proud to personally hand over the donated items to Trafford North Food Bank, helping to support homeless people and families facing financial hardship across Trafford and the wider Manchester area.
Laura said, “We are so grateful to our families and our team for their kindness and generosity. These donations will genuinely make a difference for people in our local community who need support, and we will be continuing to donate throughout the year.”
The donation drive also formed part of the nursery’s nurture approach to supporting children’s learning, helping them to understand the importance of kindness, empathy and giving back to their local community in meaningful ways.
Trafford North Food Bank plays a vital role in supporting people across Trafford and Greater Manchester, particularly those experiencing homelessness or struggling to meet basic needs. The food bank continues to rely on donations of essential everyday items, including shampoo and conditioner, deodorants, shower gel, toothpaste, and seasonal items such as packets or tins of soup during the winter months, and cordial and cereals in the summer.
Bright Horizons Trafford Day Nursery and Pre-School hope its ongoing support will continue to help Trafford North Food Bank provide vital assistance to people across Manchester, while reinforcing positive values around care, compassion and community among the children.
