The Newly Refurbished Berkshire Nursery That Parents Say Feels like a “Posh Hotel”

Bright Horizons is excited to announce the launch of its newly refurbished Sonning Lane Day Nursery & Preschool in Reading (formerly Bright Horizons Inglewood Day Nursery). The extensive transformation introduces a host of exceptional facilities that set the nursery apart from the crowd.

Sonning Lane is the only nursery in the Reading area with its own private, indoor swimming pool. Children will enjoy small-group lessons led by two qualified swimming instructors, developing water confidence and essential life skills from the earliest age in a safe and nurturing environment.

The nursery’s sports hall brings physical development to life, with space for ball-games and obstacle courses. Combined with more than an acre of outdoor space, complete with a forest play area, planting zones, and a treehouse climbing frame, children can enjoy a wide variety of active, outdoor experiences every day.

Inside, bright and spacious rooms cater for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, alongside specialist areas such as a children’s kitchen and dedicated dining space. The nursery follows Bright Horizons’ Nurture Approach, an evidence-led pedagogy that supports the holistic development of children, complemented by enriching programmes including Boogie Mites music sessions and the Ready for School Programme.
