Recently renovated Bright Horizons Cedar House Day Nursery and Preschool, located on Dryden Road in Enfield, held an exciting grand opening last Saturday for families from the community.
The nursery held a fun tropical themed event and on the day its Nursery Practitioners organised summer-themed activities for the children, including water play and beach themed games. Nibbles and refreshments were available throughout the day. Families also had the chance to tour the exceptional new facilities.
The Mayor of Enfield, Councillor Mohammad Islam, took part in the celebrations and officially declared the nursery ‘open’ by delivering a speech which commemorated the new setting.
The Nurture Approach, which is part of the curriculum at Cedar House nursery, puts children’s emotional development and wellbeing at the centre of the nurseries everyday practice recognising that children’s wellbeing and emotional development is key to all aspects of learning.
This new setting opened in April and is situated in a building that was previously a care home. The building has undergone a complete redesign to include three large baby rooms, two toddler rooms and one preschool room.
The spacious new setting cares for children aged three months to five years old and features a large garden for children to learn and feel inspired outdoors. There is also free flow access to the gardens from the preschool and toddler rooms and a dedicated baby sleep room for the babies to unwind in a safe and comfortable environment.
