Discovering wildlife has become a fond interest of children at Bright Horizons Wavendon Day Nursery and Preschool in Milton Keynes.
The children have recently shown an interest in the wildlife within the nursery garden area and were recently inspired to create pictures of birds which they had found. They were provided with paper, coloured pencils and an image of a bird each to draw their own versions. The birds included the robin, goldfinch and yellow wagtail.
Nursery Manager Jane said: “The children used this opportunity to show off their fine motor skills and also to learn about the different types of birds.”
Arts and crafts is a particular aspect of the company’s Bright Beginnings curriculum which allows children to experiment creatively and enhance their fine motor skills development.
Providing exceptional experiences and giving children and their families the best possible care and early years education is at the core of everything the team at Bright Horizons do. If you’re interested in a career in Early Years then please click here or email jointheteam@brighthorizons.com
Parents across Scotland have rated Bright Horizons 44 St. Swithin Early Learning and Childcare, located in the heart of Aberdeen, among the top 20 nurseries in the country.
This esteemed accolade has been given to the setting by the annual Nursery Awards held by leading UK Nursery review website, daynurseries.co.uk. The website receives 4 million visits per year and has over 145,000 Nursery reviews.
The daynurseries.co.uk awards recognise 20 of the top-rated Nurseries in each region of the UK. These are based on reviews from parents/individuals responsible for a child. The Awards are then generated based on the Individual and Group Review Score, as of 29th April 2022.
Nursery Manager Vicky Bowman said: “I am so pleased to hear that we have been named as one of the top 20 nurseries in Scotland, this is such a great achievement for us! We are so proud to earn this accolade again, just like we did in 2021. I would like to thank the families for their feedback and contributions. I’m so proud of my team who work so hard to ensure that every area of care and education is provided at the highest level.”
