Church Crookham children take part in The Big Draw

Children at Bright Horizons Church Crookham Day Nursery and Preschool recently took part in The Big Draw.

Staff taped paper around the nursery and throughout the day children drew across the paper to create a large-scale piece of artwork.

“The parents have loved coming in to see what creations have been made and the children have been equally proud to show this off,” said Nursery Manager Gemma Butler.

Founded in 2000 by the Guild of St George, The Big Draw is a pioneering visual literacy charity dedicated to raising the profile of drawing as a tool for wellbeing, thought, creativity, social and cultural engagement. The charity leads a diverse programme of advocacy, empowerment and engagement, and is the founder and driving force behind The Big Draw Festival – the world’s biggest celebration of drawing.
