Children at Bright Horizons Cheshunt Day Nursery and Preschool recently took part in a sports week, as part of the organisation’s Active Athletes programme.

During the week, the children dressed up in their football kits and had a small football game in the garden. They have been learning how to play football and practiced scoring a goal.

“The children also enjoyed reading stories about football and talking about different countries,” said Nursery Manager Jessica Brand. “Some of the children also practiced some yoga stretches to calm down after their game.”

Children at Bright Horizons Hatch End Day Nursery and Preschool in Pinner were recently excited to visit Santa’s grotto upon his arrival at the nursery.

The children all got an individual chance to visit with Santa and explain to him what they were hoping for at Christmas.

“While having a story in the preschool room, of a sudden we heard something which sounded like jingle bells and something landing on our roof,” said Nursery Manager Meggie Davis. “We heard a voice which sounded very familiar and a Ho Ho Ho confirmed it was Santa and his reindeers.”
