Westferry Circus | Day Nurseries & Pre-School | Canary Wharf, London

Westferry Circus Day Nursery and Preschool

Why Children Love Us

Back-Up and Emergency Care Only

Westferry Circus Nursery provides Emergency Care and Holiday Club only and is located within Columbus Courtyard on the Canary Wharf complex towards South Colonnade. Emergency back-up care is available to support you when your regular childcare arrangements are unavailable. Reservations can be made 35 Days in advance.

The Emergency Centre differs from a full day nursery as there is no formal structure or routine. We are here to make your child’s day as happy as possible, if that means they want cuddles all day then this is what we will provide. If they wish to play with cars then we will take the cars out of one of our many toy cupboards. When you first visit you will be asked to complete a daily routine sheet this will help the practitioners learn a little more about your child’s routine.

Each of the activities available will be tailored towards your child’s individual interests. We offer a range of fun and exciting trips to the Science Museum and also Forest School (on selected dates during the school holidays) The children also visit our Canada Square Nursery to play in their ‘bounce’ room, sensory room and large ‘play’ room which has a lot of ride-in cars, a Wendy House and a large sand-pit.

Meet the Team

Abraham

I have been with Little Unicorn nursery since 2010, until its acquisition by Bright Horizons Family Solutions in July 2016. Prior to starting at the Little Unicorn nursery, I have worked with both children and adults, from Junior School to College.

I am an Early Years Professional. My interests in Early Years are in the areas of Observation, Assessment and Planning; Curriculum Development and Leadership.

Mandeep

Mandeep has been working at little unicorn day nursery for more than two years. Mandeep started at Little Herons Emergency Centre as summer cover for 3 months whilst she completed her studies at University. Mandeep went back to University in October, 2014 and started to work part time in Blue room at Bank Street. Mandeep worked in Blue room with the 15 months to 2 year olds until she graduated in 2015 and then came back to work full time.

Mandeep decided she wanted to go back to Little Herons Emergency Centre for a change and spent a couple of months there before she moved to Green room at Bank Street, working with 2 to 3 year olds. Mandeep worked in Green room for almost a year before she was appointed Deputy Manager of what is now known as Little Unicorn Back Up Care and Holiday Club at Westferry Circus. Mandeep has worked with all age groups and thoroughly enjoys her job. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Studies.
